This in an off the beaten path Tour that allows you to immerse yourself with the true locals at the picturesque little town of Dangriga which still remains undiscovered \u2013 no fancy resorts or restaurants just authentic local cuisine and people! We first visit Marie Sharp Hot Sauce factory and try some goodies \u2013 if you are a fan of Hot Sauce you will love go crazy at the factory!<\/p>\n
After that we visit the Gulisi Garifuna Museum and learn about the History of our Garifuna people, customs and beliefs. We then head to the Shed a beautiful local spot with thatch roof and sandy grounds to enjoy some LIVE GARIFUNA DRUMMING while feasting on some delicious HUDUT (a traditional Garifuna meal a delicacy among locals) enjoy some true Garifuna cuisine \u2013 It doesn\u2019t get more authentic than that! We also visit the local drum maker @ Why-not island and last but not least we head over to the studio gallery of legendary Maestro Pen Cayetano \u2013 Painter, singer, songwriter and guitarist. His studio is an old colonial house built in the early 1900s where we learn even more about the extraordinary Garifuna Journey!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
